Project Manager

Reports to CEO | CTO

Job purpose

  • Manage development projects by working with Software Development team to plan and schedule the project and then tracks the project throughout development to ensure delivering projects on time and within budget and scope.

Duties and responsibilities

Project Management

  • Ensures technical projects are completed on schedule and within budget and scope.
  • Manages and appropriately escalates; delivery impediments, risks, issues, and changes associated to the product development initiatives
  • Establishes, plans, and executes major milestone reviews and decision gates to complete the program and project life cycle. Ensures all the required products are produced and reviewed, including the technical leadership of requirements management, design, implementation, system integration, verification, test, quality assurance, delivery, operations, and sustainment of the technical solution
  • Defines project scope, deliverables, roles and responsibilities in collaboration with stakeholders and business partners
  • Manage scope throughout the project duration. Maintains accurate program estimates, timelines, project plans, status reports
  • Translates business requirements and functional specifications into technical specifications and ensure that implementations meet specifications and quality standards
  • Serves as liaisons between technical and non-technical departments in order to ensure that all targets and requirements are met
  • Ability to lead and motivate cross-functional teams and interact with all levels
  • Creates a method of change management including ownership of a documentation, communication plans, process training, etc.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills and the ability to interact professionally with a diverse group; developers, product owners, and subject matter experts
  • Possesses high level understanding in the areas of web application programming, content management systems
  • Provide process improvement recommendations based on best practices and industry standards
  • Resolves conflicts by demonstrating leadership and appropriate decision-making competencies

Required Education and Experience

Bachelor’s degree in technical or bachelor’s degree in Business with emphasis on Project Management. Current students encouraged to apply.

Working conditions    

This job operates in a professional office environment with occasional travel for conferences & client meetings. This role routinely uses standard office equipment such as computers, phones, photocopiers, filing cabinets and fax machines.  It may require occasional conference material setup.

Physical requirements

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to talk and listen. The employee frequently is required to stand; walk; type; and reach with hands and arms and requires the ability to occasionally lift office products and supplies up to 20 pounds.
